Hydrostatic Isolation & Hydrostatic Weld Test Tools

100% OWNED IN-HOUSE EQUIPMENT!

Industry-Recognized for
Safe Isolation Technology

For decades, our hydrostatic and hydrodynamic isolation tools have guaranteed the safety of hot work in the oil and gas, petrochemical, power, chemical, refining, pipeline, and on-shore/off-shore sectors.

Our tools are in stock and housed at our Geismar, LA facility. Our standard sizes range from 3/4 inches to 48 inches and can accommodate all pipe schedules.

When it comes to non-standard sizes, BTG can manufacture a tool specifically for your needs!

How It Works

Isolation tools have the combined ability to monitor the seals of the tool and to monitor upstream pressure while venting to a safe location. The O-Rings are customized in the field to fit the ID of the pipe. The two o-rings are constantly monitored by the pressurized medium in the annulus space between them. A gauge on the tool shows static pressure, verifying the integrity of the seals, and guarantees we have a positive isolation throughout the duration of the hot work. Upstream activity is also monitored by a gauge while being vented to a safe distance from any potential ignition source. If a Bevel Tech Group Technician detects any change in upstream activity or drop in pressure on the seal gauge, all hot work is immediately stopped until the situation is resolved.

Our tools can also be utilized to provide hydrodynamic isolations. During hight temperature procedures such as pre-heat, PWHT, and bake outs, the medium can be circulated around the tool’s annulus. This circulation keeps the tools seals cool and intact during very hot procedures. The seals are validated by maintaining and monitoring a pressure differential on two gauges in the system. Our isolation tools have the ability to isolate through long radius 90s and tees 6 inches and larger.

Hydrostatic Weld Test Tools

Validate weld pressure specific to the weld location without requiring pressure on the whole line.

Hydrostatic Weld Test Tools

Our weld test tools are installed and positioned over the weld, and a localized hydrostatic test is performed using just ounces of the medium.

When testing weldneck flanges, our weld test tool tests the integrity of the weld, the heat affected zone, and the flange.

Our standard tools can reach pressures up to 2250 psi. With lead time and planning, BTG can develop a customized tool capable of reaching pressures over 5000 psi.

Bevel Tech Group’s weld test tools can test weld neck flanges, slip on flanges, socket weld flanges, orifice flanges, branch connections, lap joints, greylock flanges, and more.

Unmatched Benefits
